Hailey & Ben - a vintage romantic wedding at National Railroad Museum

Hailey and Ben are one incredible couple! Ben is super easy going, fun and absolutely adores Hailey, whom he met when they were mutually in a theater performance several years ago. Hailey is as beautiful as she is sweet and an absolute joy to be around. They share a mutual history of trains (Ben's pocket watch is actually passed down from a legit train conductor in the family!), so the National Railroad Museum was a natural choice for their beautifully vintage inspired wedding!

But their day was so much more than gilt frames and milk glass vases brimming with wildflowers.

I still get goosebumps when I look at the pictures of Hailey giving Ben a journal she started writing love letters to Ben in when they stared dating! His reaction and the moment they shared holding hands around a stone wall, tucked away in a corner of the church is a moment to treasure. Just days before the wedding Ben's grandmother passed away. Hailey had a special photo attached to his boutonniere so he could keep her near his heart. She is just an amazing, thoughtful woman! The ceremony was an incredibly personal one, especially given Ben's involvement with Our Lady of Lourdes. Hailey's dad and grandfather (who played a huge role in raising her) both gave her away to an overjoyed Ben, while some very happy, tearful bridesmaids looked on. And Ben's whole incredibly musically gifted family came together to sing and play music for a very emotional song during communion. It was amazing to see so much love poured on the sweet couple!

After the ceremony the bridal party piled into a trolley and we headed to Lambeau Field for some group pictures! We found the most amazing ivy covered wall unexpectedly and used it as a backdrop for some romantic shots with Hailey's stunning lace cathedral veil, love! We found so many wonderful places to incorporate the vintage theme and joy for the day at the museum too. What a beautiful venue!

Now let's pause for a moment and marvel at Hailey's vision for her vintage wedding brought to life. I walked into the museum and literally gasped. Each fresh white table cloth served as a perfect canvas for shabby chic frames, groupings of flowers peeking out from behind vintage plates turned into table numbers, candlelight sparkling off gilded details. Around the perimeter of the room an old wagon on one side sat laden with hors d'oeurves, another with gifts for the couple. A little white buffet held the gorgeous lace and floral cake and other adorable details. An old piano, a nod to the musical background, sat stacked with weathered suitcases bringing out the couples love for adventure (honeymoon at a dude ranch, super fun!). And in the background, two giant locomotives, long retired of service, watched new love celebrated with friends and family.

At sunset, Hailey and Ben took some time to venture to the edge of the grounds to take a few moments for pictures and to just be together before the dancing and fun got underway. I love that they took the time for themselves to pause and celebrate that they are a new family with so many new memories to make!

It was a beautiful day of remembering the family who made these two wonderful people who they are and looking ahead to a joy-filed lifetime together!
